After a 7hours train journey from Barcelona, which included an "inflight movie" (no kidding) we hit Bilbao. Managed to find a room on our first phone call, got a taxi and made our way there.

That first night we wondered round a bit not quite knowing where we were going due to Tracey's guide book being about 5yrs old and pre-Guggenheim! Though found a good view of the old town.

The next day we wondered round for a bit, drank some Spanish type chocolate drink, found a tourist information place and finally found out in which direction the Guggenheim was.

Inside the architecture is still a marvel, about half the time there was spent looking at it. Though not too much to the detriment of the art exhibits.

Waited in some Tapas bar for the train.

Ended up with a first class cabin on for the overnight trip to Madrid.
