Now these are REALLY useful, some would call them a luxury, but believe me after you've done any crawling you too will consider them essential for all trips. They come in various guises; Neoprene, solid ones and WARMTEX (by far the best) and you put them over your knees and it all seems so much better. You can also get elbow pads.
